Sponsors Breakfast 8/3 2019

Our Bi-Annual Sponsors Breakfast took place on Friday 8TH March 2019 and as usual, the weather was kind and the view stunning.

The Surf Club Restaurant proudly sponsor this event and provide a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit platters and a special breakfast bruschetta to our guests.

Director of Finance Craig Moore was our MC and introduced our Special Guests; Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien, Tourism Noosa CEO Steve McPharlin, Noosa Council Mayor Tony Wellington and our Life Members in attendance President Ross Fisher, Ian Young OAM and Lenore Grice.

Active Life Saver Jed Hamblin was presented with an award he received whilst participating in Camp Commando, and the Presidents Award, which he won last season but had not been presented with formally.

Rotary Noosa Daybreak Exchange Student Rodrigo De Alvaro Santana spoke about his experience becoming a Members of the Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club, completing his Bronze Medallion and becoming an Active patrol member on Noosa Main Beach.

Tourism Noosa CEO Steve McPharlin provided guests with a broad range of information and statistics on Tourism in our region and made special mention of the recent experience of the filming of Master Chef from the Surf Club Deck and how it will provide great exposure of our area to potential visitors as it will be seen by millions of viewers.

President Ross Fisher acknowledged the importance of the Nippers Program, both in Noosa and Peregian. We currently have close to 750 Nippers at Noosa and over 100 participating at Peregian. The parents at Peregian have put in an amazing effort with many of them initially undertaking their Surf Rescue Certificate so they could assist with Water Safety, then gaining their Bronze Medallion and undertaking Active Patrol duties.
Ross is also Chair of the Sponsorship Committee and took the opportunity, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the Sponsorship Committee and Members to acknowledge and thank our wonderful Sponsors.
