Seahorse nippers

Our Program

Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club is very proud to commence a new initiative, Seahorse Nippers, a program for children with disabilities who would otherwise be unable to participate in a regular nipper program.

On selected Saturdays, 20 to 25 special nippers will take to the sand and experience flag races, swimming, surfing and kayaking in a happy and safe red and yellow environment. This is the first program of this type in Queensland and we are hopeful that this program can be successfully rolled out to other Clubs in the movement over time.

Seahorse nippers is an inclusive program for children and young people with physical and mental challenges. Your child can learn about the beach while socializing and gaining confidence in the water. Seahorse nippers runs over 3 – 4 Saturday’s twice a year. Usually run just before September and April school holidays.

As a Club, the Noosa Heads SLSC Board are committed to the continuation of Seahorse Nippers and
as soon as we are in a position to offer details of program dates,
notification will be provided via this site.
