Surf Sports
Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club provides a huge range of opportunities for members to get involved in surf sports. Members of all ages are encouraged to join in.
Events range from flags and sprints, through to board, ski and surf boat races. There are also competitions in first aid, patrol team work and lifesaving skills.
The latest surf sports information is promoted in our club newsletter and members are encouraged to subscribe to keep up to date with an ever changing array of opportunities.
Racing boards and skis are available for members who would like to try paddling before they commit to their own gear and some storage room is also available for competitors who have their own gear.
Training with qualified coaches is held several times a week. Check out our training programs below.
NB: With the exception of Long Service members, who must be proficient, SLSA requires all competitors to complete a minimum number of patrol hours per calendar year to be eligible to compete. Active Cadet, Active Junior and Active Senior must complete 25 hours. Reserve Active must complete 12 hours. New members need to complete 4 hours per month from the month they gain their active award.
As a member of Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club you are expected to attend all your rostered patrols (or find a substitute); patrol obligations take priority over a carnival.
