The 2009 / 2010 season ended on the 3rd May 2010 and volunteer lifesaving patrols have now ceased. Sunshine Coast Regional Council Lifeguards will now be patrolling the beach 7 days a week from 7:30am till 4:30pm during the winter months. These winter months enables volunteer lifesavers to have a well earned break so they are fresh and ready to begin patrolling our beaches again on weekends & public holidays from the 18th September 2010. Although patrols have ceased, lifesaving training will continue throughout the winter months to train new lifesavers and maintain the skills of those already qualified patrolling members.

Please find below a memorandum from Surf Life Saving Queensland acknowledging the fantastic work of our volunteer lifesavers during the 2009 / 2010 season.
